Poonanns on the Camino

Camino-de-Santiago-Route

A few years ago a colleague of mine mentioned he was heading off to do the Camino. I’d never heard of it so he suggested I watch the movie ‘The Way.’ So we managed to get hold of a copy, watched it and instantly put it at the top of our list of ‘must-do’s’ whilst we were living in London.

People often ask us ‘What is the Camino?’ To put it very simply….it is one long ass walk! But obviously it is so much more than that. Its a spiritual journey that takes you from the South of France to the West of Spain covering between 800-900km depending on the path you choose to take. Along ‘the Way’ you encounter the best and worst that nature has to offer and best of all, you meet the people that will inspire you more than you ever thought you could be inspired. Without getting too mushy, this experience has changed our lives and it is definitely something we would do again if we had the chance.

Below is day by day blog that we kept relatively up to date along the trail. You’ll see that there are many highs and lows and we wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂
